Apprenticeships
IMS Buhrke-Olson has successfully registered its Buhrke Tool & Die Maker Apprenticeship Program with the US Department of Labor. Our program meets the basic standards of apprenticeship established by the Secretary of Labor- National Apprenticeship System.

Other Open Positions
There are currently 2 open position(s) avaialble:
- Primary responsibility to perform roving inspection on all production floor areas. As required by workload, assist in the in-process inspection responsibilities as well.
- Review job travelers and work instructions to ensure that the process and operations are set up to the defined standards.
- Inspect parts visually for any quality defects and compare parts with first piece approval. Inspect process and production floor areas to make sure procedures are followed.
- Record inspection time for each machine on inspection log.
- Separate any nonconforming material, quarantine and maintain a record per procedures.
- Assist In Process Inspectors with completing SPC charts if necessary.
- Assist in Final Audit if necessary.
- Learn in-process inspection techniques and SPC as required.
- Basic knowledge of blue print reading.
- Assist in production if necessary.
- Education – Inspection coursework/certification program preferred. Must learn calibration techniques if not yet known. Good math skills required. Ability to use inspection equipment required. Blueprint reading skills desired.
- Experience/Training – A minimum of two years of relevant experience within a manufacturing environment required.
- Language Skills– Good written and verbal communication skills required.
- Computer Skills– Must have basic computer skills.
Quality Inspector
Pay: $19.00

Competencies
- Prepare and record certain journal entries in the appropriate systems
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and analysis variances
- Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules.
- Assist in developing and recommending benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of the division
- Maintain fixed asset accounts and record into F/A system.
- Prepare various schedules for monthly management review and quarterly financial review.
- Assist and accumulate necessary information for year-end audit, bank audit, and tax returns
- Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
- Assist Controller on special projects
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience. Experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in a manufacturing environment. Work requires professional written / verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to multitask.
- This role requires technical software skills and experience in ERP Systems (previous experience with Epicor a plus), Microsoft Office, and advanced Excel skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and interpersonal. Fluency in Spanish is a plus
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced skills in Excel. Epicor software experience is desirable but not required.
Staff Accountant
Pay: $60,000 - $65,000
